More Than 80 Years in the BusinessFounded in 1939 by Arthur Morton under the name Willoughby Sheet Metal, the company first became known for residential HVAC, gutter installation and repairs and other sheet metal needs. Shortly after starting his own business, Arthur went overseas and served in the United States Navy in WWII.
Then in 1946, he moved to east Cleveland and re-established the company under a new name: A.D. Morton Company. At this time, Arthur made the decision to shift from residential services to commercial HVAC. In 1965, Arthur and his son Donald moved the company to Willoughby, Ohio and built a larger facility to better support their expansion. Then in the mid-1970s, Donald took over, shifting the company's focus from commercial HVAC to industrial ventilation. Today, A.D. Morton is in its third generation of ownership and serves hundreds of customers throughout the United States as a Local 33 Union company. |
